Rose-infused coconut rough slice

Trust us, this sweet slice tastes as good as it looks! The delicious result of a little kitchen experimenting by Holistic Life blogger Carly Hicks, this rose-infused coconut rough slice is easy to make and will only take around 10 minutes to whip up. The rose water gives it a divine Turkish delight flavour and the petals make this the perfect treat for entertaining. This recipe makes around seven slices.

4 tbsp cacao powder
1/4 cup shredded coconut
1/4 cup cacao butter, melted
3 tbsp cashew butter
3 tbsp rice syrup
1 tbsp rose water
2 tbsp rose petals

  1. Place the cacao powder and shredded coconut in a mixing bowl and stir through.
  2. Add in the cacao butter, cashew, rice syrup and rose water and stir through until it forms a paste.
  3. Lay the mixture out flat on a sheet of baking paper and then gently sprinkle the rose petals on top.
  4. Place in the freezer to set for 30 minutes and then cut into sections and store in the fridge.
